The Industrial Technology Education program is designed to prepare students for a teaching career mainly in secondary schools. The transformation to technology education continues to provide all students with basic knowledge and skills needed for modern technology. Holding curriculums at B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. levels, the Department provides courses on common concepts of Industrial Technology Education and relevant practices. Within this framework, students are trained in multi discipline conformity.

Technology Education is a hands-on program using an investigative, design-and-construct, problem solving approach to teaching. Facilities include the workshops of power and energy, woodworks, metal works, electrics, electronics, graphics, offset, ceramics and serigraphy as well as computer labs. Apart from these, students can improve their skills and experience towards a specific field by means of projects, optional field courses and graduation thesis. Most graduates of this program are employed as technology teachers at the secondary and the post-secondary level schools. Almost all graduates could be assigned as Technology Teacher in secondary schools, post-secondary schools and vocational schools after the completion of the program. The flexibility of the program opens the doors of many other occupational opportunities such as professional positions in business and industry. Generally, graduates utilize their educational and technical expertise for the interdisciplinary professions in industry.

Academic staff includes 2 Associate Professors, 3 Assistant Professors, 7 Lecturers and 4 Research Assistants. Department offers 4 year bachelor’s program. During this period, besides the general culture and educational formation courses, the field courses are given under four different divisions as mentioned below:
